Fairy Shrimp Eggs 100+

For sale are 100+ Fairy Shrimp eggs. Fairy shrimp are free swimming freshwater invertebrates that are similar in appearance and size to brine shrimp. They make an excellent live food for a wide variety of freshwater aquarium fish and are especially useful for conditioning breeders, encouraging finicky eaters and adding variety to your fish’s diet.

Culturing Instructions

Add the eggs to a jar of green water and stir gently. Keep the jar in a well lit area. 

For best results, feed the developing fairy shrimp with green water or algae paste. If these are unavailable, very small amounts of yeast or finely powdered spirulina can also be used. Avoid overfeeding, a small amount at a time is best to maintain good water quality. 

Pro Tip

If the eggs have not hatched after a couple of days try increasing the water temperature to approximately 30°C (86°F). Floating the hatching container in a heated aquarium is an easy way to maintain the warmer temperature. Once the eggs have hatched the culture can be returned to room temperature.
